Body oil works best on slightly damp skin after washing. Use a small amount and add more only where skin still feels dry.
Let the oil settle
Wait a few minutes before getting dressed or spraying perfume. This gives the oil time to spread evenly and keeps it off fabric.

Keep scent placement separate
If the oil has fragrance, apply perfume at the wrists or neck instead of spraying directly over it. You will be able to tell how the two scents sit together.
Pair by weight, not by matching notes
A light skin scent is easy with most oils. A dense perfume needs less help. When both products are strong, use one as the lead and keep the other close to skin.
